Aviva Car Insurance @ www.aviva.co.uk
The Aviva identity hasn’t been around for that long. There has been many past merges between companies though that has stretched out their timeline considerably. The earliest company was the Hand in Hand Fire & Life Insurance Society that was formed in 1696. There are 2 motoring products available today. This includes the standard single cover option and MultiCar. Both of these have attained Defaqto 5 star status. From viewing their site you’ll spot that there is a great emphasis on pricing. This is seen through the headline of a 20% online saving that is applicable to 10% of their customers and they follow with 1/3 off with MultiCar (20% of customers expected).
They also promote cover being available from just £185 and a discount is available through Aviva’s Drive app that is a telematics offering. On this side it is stated that 47% of safer drivers scoring 7.1+ could save an average of £150 on fully comprehensive cover. The app is looking at your acceleration, braking and cornering. The score is generated once 200 miles have been driven. Further features of note include fast recovery, with them getting to you on average in 52 minutes. There is also the uninsured driver promise and a 24/7/365 claims helpline. MyAviva at www.aviva.co.uk serves the Aviva car insurance login. There is also a MyAviva app that you can quickly download.
For general support, you can reach their advisors between Monday and Friday (8am/8pm), Saturday (8.30am/5pm) or Sunday (10am/4pm) on the number 0345 307 8590. Aviva’s cover is only available direct and so it is tricky to compare how they score for pricing. There is a big focus on value by them, but we’d hazard a guess at this being specific to aged drivers with no claims bonuses notched up. Historical testing on comparison searches has seen General Accident and Quote Me Happy both generate expensive quotes and so they may not be great for young drivers. Then an again, a few well known brokers that use them perform favourably for value (such as Igo4).
