Privacy Policy

The privacy policy will follow for this site (

The aim of this page is to alert visitors to the various types of info that we track and the need for it. There are 2 common areas of tracking. The first of which is analytics and the other is third party ads. A basic explanation for each will follow…

1) Analytics: This data is used to monitor our daily performance. We are connected with StatCounter for this. StatCounter provides various types of grouped info. The most important things that we are checking over is total pageloads, most popular pages, top referring pages and also the market share between desktop and mobile devices. The access that we have to stats like this is essential so that we can keep track of our progress and importantly look at ways to improve. At the same time, from an admin standpoint, we can quickly troubleshoot server issues once they are recognised.

2) Third Party Ads: Adverts are placed across pages to both supplement the content and to enable us continue to function in covering our running costs. This includes advertising, development, domain and hosting fees, premium plugins etc. In supplementing the content, various products/services as discussed on the site can be matched with relevant adverts from Google AdSense. Google uses the Doubleclick DART cookie to serve ads across their network. You can find further info regarding the DART cookie at Doubleclick as well as opt out options at Google’s Privacy Section. Single recommendations may often be made whereby we may be working directly with an advertiser as an affiliate. At times we may just link to useful resources without such connections.

Analytics and third party ad tracking is achieved through the usage of cookies. A cookie will identity and then follow a visitor as they navigate across web pages. This identification is made by IP address only. The contact form does collect email addresses. Whilst no such private information is collected, we have added encryption. Visitors can block or restrict how cookies function. This can be done from within browser settings. It wouldn’t be advised to change settings since this is likely to cause issues on many sites that you may frequent. Problems for instance crop up with shopping carts and your usernames or passwords won’t be remembered on social media sites.

If you have any questions you can reach our support through the contact form located in the top menu bar.
